Classroom and school grants support the creative classroom projects of our teachers and support current curriculum in achievement priorities of increasing graduation rates, literacy, low-performing students, STEM education, teaching quality and career/technical education.
The Foundation’s Grants for Excellence program provides funding to Escambia County teachers for collaborative, innovative classroom projects across grade levels and/or subject areas that actively engage students in exciting hands-on learning experiences. In October 2016, the Foundation awarded 20 collaborative classroom projects to teachers impacting over 10,300 students and 490 teachers.
Updated forms for the 2017-2018 Grants for Excellence program are below. Please note that this year, we are again requiring collaboration with grant amounts ranging from $1,500 up to $5,000. For this reason, only one grant application will be accepted from each school. In addition, training by one member of the grant team (“Lead Contact”) will be required. You can refer to “Helpful Tips” in your packets for more details.
